What are the requirements to add Clearpay to my Shopify Store?

Supported Countries

Clearpay is available for Shopify merchants with a store address in these countries:

🇫🇷 France
🇮🇹 Italy
🇪🇸 Spain
🇬🇧 UK

As Afterpay in these countries.
🇺🇸 United States
🇦🇺 Australia
🇳🇿 New Zealand
🇨🇦 Canada

Store Address

Please note that the Store Address must correspond to the Clearpay account region.

  • Navigate to: Shopify Admin > Settings > General
  • Under ‘Store address’, the ‘Country’ must be the country which you are signed the contract(or one of them if you are signed more than one).
    For example.
    If you signed a contract to offer Clearpay in France and Spain, the country should be France or Spain.
    If you signed a contract to offer Clearpay in Spain, the country should be Spain.

Store Currency

Please note that the Store Currency must correspond to the Clearpay account region.

  • Navigate to: Shopify Admin > Settings > General
  • Under ‘Store currency, the ‘Store currency’ must be:
  • 🇪🇺 EURO (EUR)

Payment Settings

Check if you have "Automatically capture payments for orders"

In the Payment Settings, a merchant may apply manual capture or automatically capture payments for all payment types. If you have enabled "Manually capture payment for orders" follow these instructions:

Email is a mandatory field to use Clearpay as a payment method. During the checkout, Shopify offers a standard field to insert an "email or phone number" as shown in the image below. Unless you have another field asking for the email, if the customer does not provide an email, he will not be able to use Clearpay.
Also the Zipcode is a mandatory field. If the customer is not providing it, the order won't be processed. This is the reason why we recommend to set this field as mandatory
