What are the requirements to add Clearpay to my Shopify Store?

Store Address

Please note that the Store Address must correspond to the Clearpay account region.

  • Navigate to: Shopify Admin > Settings > General
  • Under ‘Store address’, the ‘Country’ must be:
  • The country which you are signed the contract(or one of them if you are signed more than one).
    For example.
    If you signed a contract to offer Clearpay in France and Spain, the country should be France or Spain.
    If you signed a contract to offer Clearpay in Spain, the country should be Spain.

Store Currency

Please note that the Store Currency must correspond to the Clearpay account region.

  • Navigate to: Shopify Admin > Settings > General
  • Under ‘Store currency, the ‘Store currency’ must be:
  • EURO (EUR)

Store payment capture

Please note that the payment capture must be configured to be done automatically, otherwise the capture should not work properly and the order won't be captured.

  • Navigate to: Shopify Admin > Settings > Payments
  • Under ‘Payment Capture’, the selected option must be:"Automatically capture payment for orders"

Mandatory email and zipcode

Email is a mandatory field to use Clearpay as a payment method. During the checkout, Shopify offers a standard field to insert an "email or phone number" as shown in the image below. Unless you have another field asking for the email, if the customer does not provide an email, he will not be able to use Clearpay.
Also the Zipcode is a mandatory field. If the customer is not providing it, the order won't be processed. This is the reason why we recommend to set this field as mandatory
